R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may
  temper the profound sadness felt at the death of Lillian Rose Harlan
  of Woodway on May 6, 2011, at the age of 95; and
         WHEREAS, A native of Indiana, the former Lillian Wilson was
  born on November 7, 1915, to Lane and Ida Mae Wilson; she married
  David McNaughton, and they became the parents of two children,
  Michael and Merry Ann; after Mr. McNaughton passed away, she was
  fortunate enough to find love a second time with Mack Harlan, who
  also preceded her in death; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Harlan was a valued congregant of Crossroads
  Fellowship Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for
  more than half a century; and
         WHEREAS, Lillian Harlan possessed a generosity of spirit that
  enriched the lives of all who had the privilege to share in her love
  and friendship, and she will forever hold a treasured place in their
  hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Lillian Rose Harlan
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
  daughter, Merry Ann McNaughton Nyland; to her four grandchildren
  and five great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lillian
  Harlan.
