R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Dean and Lorean Evans of Lamesa |
|
|
celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on May 10, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Evans were united in matrimony in |
|
|
Carnegie, Oklahoma, in 1941; through the years, they have nurtured |
|
|
a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the |
|
|
addition of their children, Connie and Jerry McKibben, Doris |
|
|
Curbow, Dee and John Brannon, Eddie and Janet Evans, and Lacy and |
|
|
Sandra Evans; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Evans is a retired mechanic, and Mrs. Evans has |
|
|
been a dedicated homemaker throughout their marriage; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the |
|
|
world during the past seven decades, this devoted husband and wife |
|
|
have remained constant in their commitment to one another, and the |
|
|
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |
|
|
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dean and Lorean Evans on their 70th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Evans as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
