R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Locally owned restaurants contribute to the |
|
|
economic and culinary diversity of Texas communities, and one such |
|
|
establishment, The Lobby restaurant in Van, is celebrating the |
|
|
first anniversary of its opening in August 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Created by entrepreneurs Nita Leist and Susan Flynn, |
|
|
The Lobby features traditional favorites like chicken fried steak |
|
|
and hamburgers as well as more unusual fare; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to providing jobs to area residents and |
|
|
expanding patrons' dining options, The Lobby supports the community |
|
|
through its reliance on local produce; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Offering a stylish setting in which family and |
|
|
friends can meet for fine food, The Lobby has become a popular |
|
|
destination for the people of Van and surrounding communities, and |
|
|
it is indeed a pleasure to honor the restaurant on the occasion of |
|
|
this special milestone; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the first anniversary of The Lobby |
|
|
restaurant in Van and extend to its owners and staff sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for The Lobby as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
