R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Gladys Frasier Griffin of Rosenthal on April 21, 2011, at
  the age of 103; and
         WHEREAS, Born to Levi and Stella Frasier on November 6, 1907,
  in Frederick, Oklahoma, the former Gladys Frasier met the love of
  her life, Jesse Griffin, as a young woman, and the couple were
  married in 1932; Mr. and Mrs. Griffin went on to share nearly 70
  years together, and were blessed with a son, Clark, as well as two
  grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Griffin was employed for over two decades as a
  social worker in the Texas State Department of Public Welfare;
  moreover, she earned a master's degree in education and dedicated
  20 years of her life to teaching schoolchildren in Rosenthal,
  Satin, Travis, and Chilton; and
         WHEREAS, Although Gladys Griffin will be deeply missed,
  cherished memories of time spent in her company will long endure in
  the hearts of her family and friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Gladys Frasier
  Griffin and extend sincere condolences to her loved ones; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Gladys
  Frasier Griffin.
