R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of James Francis Thomas of Waco, who passed away on May 1, 2011, at
  the age of 83; and
         WHEREAS, James Thomas was born in Valley Mills on October 8,
  1927, to William and Mamie Thomas; he enjoyed a career with TXU
  Energy as a meter reader supervisor, retiring after many years of
  dedicated service; and
         WHEREAS, Known for his kindness and humor, Mr. Thomas was the
  devoted father of three children and also took great pride in his
  stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, James Thomas lived a life that was rich in the
  intangibles that matter most, and he is deeply missed by all those
  who held him dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of James Francis
  Thomas and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to
  his daughters, Carol Donaldson and her husband, Donnell, and Geneva
  Thompson and her husband, Ray; to his son, John Cardwell; to his
  stepchildren, Janet Anders and her husband, Lee, John Janeke and
  his wife, Martha, Richard Janeke and his wife, Ann, and Michael
  Janeke; to his grandchildren, Angela Abbe and her husband, Preston,
  Michael Thompson, Amber Donaldson and her husband, Bobby Lopez, and
  Chad Donaldson; to his sister, Bessie Chambers; to his five
  great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James
  Thomas.
