R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
by a great and enduring love, Jim and Shara Hanson of Mineola |
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 11, 2011; and |
|
WHEREAS, Jim Hanson and the former Shara Gillentine were |
|
united in matrimony at First Baptist Church in Van in 1961; through |
|
the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been |
|
made even richer with the addition of two children and their |
|
spouses, Lori Steed and her husband, Jeff, and Danny Hanson and his |
|
wife, Lisa; the couple have also had the pleasure of seeing their |
|
family grow to include three grandsons and two great-grandchildren; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Hanson was self-employed in the trucking |
|
industry, and Mrs. Hanson is a retired postmaster; they spent the |
|
first 10 years of their marriage in Irving before moving to Lone |
|
Star, where they resided for the next three decades; in 2000, the |
|
couple retired to Mineola, Mr. Hanson's hometown; and |
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jim and Shara Hanson on their |
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hanson as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
