R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
  by a great and enduring love, Clarence and Alice Lee of Quitman
  celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on March 10, 2011; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lee were united in matrimony at Liberty
  United Methodist Church on that special day in 1951; through the
  years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made
  even richer with the addition of a son, Larry, a daughter-in-law,
  Sharon, two grandsons, Douglas and Daniel, and a
  great-granddaughter, Hillary; and
         WHEREAS, A native of Lovelady, Mr. Lee is retired from the
  Texas Highway Department, and Mrs. Lee, who was born in Wood County,
  worked as a nurse's aide at Heritage Nursing Home; they have both
  been valued congregants of Liberty United Methodist Church for many
  years; and
         WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six
  decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in
  their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has
  enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace
  and optimism; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Clarence and Alice Lee on their 60th
  wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
