R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five |
|
|
decades, John Henry Griffin, Sr., and Joyce Evelyn Griffin of |
|
|
Pittsburg are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on June |
|
|
22, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Griffin exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
in Los Angeles, California, on that memorable day in 1961, and over |
|
|
the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a |
|
|
devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Griffin count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes four children, Sharon Louise Griffin, |
|
|
John Henry Griffin, Jr., Priscilla Marie Griffin, and Diane Yvette |
|
|
Griffin, with whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions |
|
|
of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Mr. and |
|
|
Mrs. Griffin can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and |
|
|
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that |
|
|
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate John Henry Griffin, Sr., and Joyce |
|
|
Evelyn Griffin on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to |
|
|
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Griffin as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
