R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Weijie Lin is graduating as the salutatorian of the
  senior class of Kingwood High School on May 28, 2011; and
         WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only
  intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
  highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction, Ms.
  Lin demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of
  subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours she has devoted to
  her studies are myriad; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Long Lin, Ms. Lin has distinguished
  herself as a member of the National Honor Society, the orchestra,
  and the PTSA, and she was voted by her peers as Most Likely to
  Succeed; she has received scholarships from the PTSA, the National
  Charity League, and Dartmouth College, where she plans to pursue a
  degree in neuroscience; and
         WHEREAS, Weijie Lin has earned the respect and admiration of
  her teachers and classmates at Kingwood High School, and her
  exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment to
  excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for this
  remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Weijie Lin on being named
  salutatorian of the Kingwood High School Class of 2011 and extend to
  her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next
  exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Lin as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
