R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Weijie Lin is graduating as the salutatorian of the |
|
senior class of Kingwood High School on May 28, 2011; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction, Ms. |
|
Lin demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of |
|
subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours she has devoted to |
|
her studies are myriad; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Long Lin, Ms. Lin has distinguished |
|
herself as a member of the National Honor Society, the orchestra, |
|
and the PTSA, and she was voted by her peers as Most Likely to |
|
Succeed; she has received scholarships from the PTSA, the National |
|
Charity League, and Dartmouth College, where she plans to pursue a |
|
degree in neuroscience; and |
|
WHEREAS, Weijie Lin has earned the respect and admiration of |
|
her teachers and classmates at Kingwood High School, and her |
|
exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment to |
|
excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for this |
|
remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Weijie Lin on being named |
|
salutatorian of the Kingwood High School Class of 2011 and extend to |
|
her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next |
|
exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Lin as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
