R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Friends and family are mourning the loss of Elena |
|
|
Torres of Dallas, who passed away on April 10, 2011, at the age of |
|
|
45; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although her time on this earth ended far too soon, |
|
|
Mrs. Torres will forever be remembered by her loved ones as a |
|
|
devoted wife, a loving mother, a thoughtful daughter, and a caring |
|
|
sister; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Today, as we pause in remembrance of this esteemed |
|
|
woman, we acknowledge the positive difference she made in the world |
|
|
around her, and we honor her memory for the many ways she enhanced |
|
|
the community in which she lived; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Elena Torres and |
|
|
extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
|
husband, Jesus Torres; to her daughters, Cristina and Yulissa; to |
|
|
her mother, Soledad Guerra; to her brothers, Antonio and Nemecio |
|
|
Medina; to her sister, Maria de la Luz; and to her other relatives |
|
|
and many friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Elena |
|
|
Torres. |
