R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Katie Crews of Stephenville was named Miss Rodeo |
|
|
Austin in April 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The annual Miss Rodeo Austin Contest celebrates |
|
|
young Texans who demonstrate not only beauty but also exceptional |
|
|
horsemanship and a vibrant personality; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Crews distinguished herself among an impressive |
|
|
field of candidates, and in addition to the title, she was awarded a |
|
|
$15,000 scholarship; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With her love for the rodeo, her proficiency at the |
|
|
sport, and her notable poise and charm, Katie Crews is a role model |
|
|
to many, and she may look forward to a bright future; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Katie Crews on being named Miss Rodeo |
|
|
Austin and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Crews as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
