AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to meetings of the University of Houston System Board of |
|
|
Regents. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 111.16, Education Code, is amended to |
|
|
read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 111.16. MEETINGS. The board shall hold [a] regular |
|
|
meetings for the transaction of business pertaining to the affairs |
|
|
of the university system. The board by rule may establish a |
|
|
procedure for calling a special meeting of the board [meeting at the
|
|
|
campus of the university during the month of April annually, and] at |
|
|
other times [and places scheduled by the board or designated by the
|
|
|
chairman]. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
