A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the disclosure of electricity generation offers |
|
|
received by ERCOT. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 39, Utilities Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 39.1516 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 39.1516. DISCLOSURE OF ELECTRICITY GENERATION OFFERS. |
|
|
(a) An independent organization certified under Section 39.151 |
|
|
shall disclose all electricity generation offers in the balancing |
|
|
energy market received by the organization. A disclosure under |
|
|
this section shall: |
|
|
(1) be posted on the organization's Internet website |
|
|
not more than two days after the offer is received; and |
|
|
(2) include: |
|
|
(A) the identity of the generation entity making |
|
|
the offer; |
|
|
(B) the amount of the offer; and |
|
|
(C) the location and period for which the offer |
|
|
is made. |
|
|
(b) The commission shall adopt rules as necessary to |
|
|
implement this section. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
