A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to a credit against the access fee for a private dock
  charged by the Brazos River Authority in the event of a drought.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Chapter 8502, Special District Local Laws Code,
  is amended by adding Section 8502.0125 to read as follows:
         Sec. 8502.0125.  CREDIT AGAINST ACCESS FEE FOR PRIVATE DOCK
  IN EVENT OF DROUGHT. If the authority charges an access fee for a
  private dock located on a lake maintained and operated by the
  authority and the level of the lake is too low because of a drought
  for the dock to provide access to the lake during any part of the
  year for which the fee is charged, the authority shall credit
  against the fee charged for the dock in the following year an amount
  computed by multiplying the amount of the fee charged in the
  preceding year by a fraction representing the part of the preceding
  year in which the level of the lake was too low because of a drought
  for the dock to provide access to the lake.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect January 1, 2012.
