A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the use of a checklist during the investigation of abuse |
|
|
or neglect at nursing homes and related institutions. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 242.126, Health and Safety Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (e-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(e-1) The department shall establish an investigation |
|
|
checklist that includes a list of each task and procedure required |
|
|
for an investigation under this section. An investigator for an |
|
|
investigating agency shall use the investigation checklist in |
|
|
conducting an investigation under this section. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
