A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to making an appropriation of money from the economic |
|
|
stabilization fund for the Foundation School Program. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. The amount of $2,000,000,000 is appropriated |
|
|
from the economic stabilization fund to the Texas Education Agency |
|
|
for the Foundation School Program under Chapter 42, Education Code, |
|
|
for the state fiscal year beginning September 1, 2012. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect November 9, 2011, but only |
|
|
if the constitutional amendment proposed by the 82nd Legislature, |
|
|
Regular Session, 2011, authorizing an appropriation from the |
|
|
economic stabilization fund for the Foundation School Program is |
|
|
approved by the voters. If that amendment is not approved by the |
|
|
voters, this Act has no effect. |
