SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, In House Concurrent Resolution No. 36, Acts of the |
|
|
79th Legislature, Regular Session, 2005, the Texas Legislature |
|
|
authorized the State Preservation Board to approve the construction |
|
|
of a monument on the Capitol grounds recognizing Texans who served |
|
|
in the Vietnam War; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although the monument has yet to be installed, the |
|
|
legislature supports continued authorization for its construction |
|
|
and for its placement at the location approved by the State |
|
|
Preservation Board; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the 82nd Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
|
hereby express continued support for the construction of a monument |
|
|
on the Capitol grounds, at the location approved by the State |
|
|
Preservation Board, recognizing Texans who served in the Vietnam |
|
|
War; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Texas secretary of state forward an |
|
|
official copy of this resolution to the executive director and |
|
|
members of the State Preservation Board. |
