SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 66
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Texas Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans Annual BBQ
  Cook-Off as a Texas State Barbecue Championship competition; and
 
         WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the Texas Gulf Coast BBQ Cookers
  Association, this outstanding event raises funds to assist
  veterans who have so faithfully served our nation in the armed
  forces; and
 
         WHEREAS, The next annual event is taking place at Veterans
  of Foreign Wars Post 10352 in Houston on April 23, 2011; over the
  last several years, it has been not only an important source of
  funding, but a means to raise awareness for this important cause;
  and
 
         WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and
  through the years Texas barbecue cook-off chefs have provided
  superior cuisine that satisfies the most discriminating palates;
  the Texas Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans Annual BBQ Cook-Off
  contributes greatly to the continuation of this vital Texas
  tradition; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby recognize the Texas Chapter of Paralyzed
  Veterans Annual BBQ Cook-Off as a Texas State Barbecue
  Championship competition and extend best wishes to all those
  associated with the event; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the sponsors of this exemplary event as an expression of high
  regard from the Texas Senate.
