SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 122
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Carol Baier Jansen
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Carol Baier
  Jansen, who died January 10, 2011, at the age of 81; and
         WHEREAS, Carol Baier was born on March 21, 1929, in
  Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Gustave and Torine Baier; the family
  moved to Waco in 1941, and Carol graduated from Waco High School
  and attended Baylor University; she resided in San Antonio for 48
  years; and
         WHEREAS, She married the love of her life, John Jansen, in
  November of 1950, and they shared 60 years of love and devotion;
  she supported him in his career with the United States Air Force
  and was also an avid volunteer with the local, state, and
  national Republican Party and the Assistance League of San
  Antonio; and
         WHEREAS, A woman of exceptional grace and style, Carol
  Jansen had a positive impact on the lives of many people, and she
  will long be remembered for her devotion to her family, her
  loyalty to her friends, and her leadership in the community; and
         WHEREAS, A loyal wife, loving mother, and dear friend,
  Carol leaves behind memories that will be long treasured by her
  family and her many friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Carol Baier Jansen: her husband, John Jansen; her
  daughter, Susan Jansen; and her sister, Barbara Meadows; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Carol Baier Jansen.
