SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 158
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to pay
  tribute to H. Ron White on the grand occasion of his 70th
  birthday, which is being celebrated in Dallas on February 11,
  2011; and
         WHEREAS, Ron White is the partner-in-charge of the Dallas
  office of Yoss White and Wiggins law firm and serves on numerous
  boards of directors; he graduated from Hampton University in
  Virginia in 1962 and served as an officer in the United States
  Army in Germany and Vietnam for six years before earning a law
  degree from Howard University in 1971; and
         WHEREAS, He has more than 30 years of experience as a
  litigator and has also served as a mediator since 1989; he has
  served as lead counsel in complex litigation on behalf of Fortune
  500 corporations as well as governmental entities, and he is
  general counsel for a number of businesses and for the
  Dallas-Fort Worth chapter of the Association of Trial Lawyers of
  America; and
         WHEREAS, He is a former district court judge, a
  long-standing member of the Texas Bar College, and a Life Fellow
  in the Texas Bar Foundation and the National Bar Association; he
  is a founding member of the Texas General Counsel Forum; and
         WHEREAS, The many accolades Mr. White has earned include
  being selected as Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2004 by the Dallas
  Bar Association and receiving the Dallas Bar Foundation Fellows
  Award in 2006; Ron White is indeed an exemplary role model and a
  highly respected leader in the Dallas community; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas hereby
  recognize H. Ron White as a treasured citizen of the State of Texas
  and congratulate him on his 70th birthday; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
