SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 223
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Sarah Fullenwider, who has been named city attorney for
  the City of Fort Worth; and
 
         WHEREAS, A graduate of the Wake Forest University School of
  Law, Sarah Fullenwider is the first woman to be appointed to this
  important position; she ascended to the post after having served
  as a senior assistant city attorney, primarily assigned to the
  Planning and Development Department to advise on matters of land
  use law; and
 
         WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, she joined the staff of
  the City of Fort Worth in 1997 and has performed numerous
  important tasks, including writing the city's first gas drilling
  ordinance in 2001 and chairing gas drilling task forces in 2001
  and 2006; and
 
         WHEREAS, A third-generation attorney, she is respected and
  admired by her colleagues, and she is sure to serve the citizens
  of Fort Worth with honor and distinction; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend Sarah Fullenwider on her many
  achievements and extend congratulations to her on being named
  city attorney for the City of Fort Worth; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
