SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 250
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
recognize Beatriz Zapata, who is retiring on February 28, 2011, |
|
after nearly 20 years of outstanding service with the Office of |
|
the Attorney General of Texas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Beatriz Zapata began her career with the |
|
attorney general's office in 1992 after having served the state |
|
as a volunteer; she has brought her experience as an educator |
|
to bear in her work with the Child Support Division, and she |
|
rose through the ranks to become a regional administrator, |
|
based in McAllen; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Laredo, she has been supported in all |
|
her endeavors by her loving husband, Jose A. Zapata, and her son, |
|
Jose A. Zapata, Jr.; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Mrs. Zapata has been noted |
|
for her superior organizational skills and expertise, and she has |
|
handled her many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency |
|
and dedication; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, she is respected and |
|
admired by her colleagues, and her presence at the Office of |
|
the Attorney General of Texas will be greatly missed; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd |
|
Legislature, hereby commend Beatriz Zapata on her exceptional |
|
service to the people of Texas as an employee of the Office of the |
|
Attorney General of Texas and extend to her best wishes for the |
|
retirement years ahead; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
