SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 250
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Beatriz Zapata, who is retiring on February 28, 2011,
  after nearly 20 years of outstanding service with the Office of
  the Attorney General of Texas; and
 
         WHEREAS, Beatriz Zapata began her career with the
  attorney general's office in 1992 after having served the state
  as a volunteer; she has brought her experience as an educator
  to bear in her work with the Child Support Division, and she
  rose through the ranks to become a regional administrator,
  based in McAllen; and
 
         WHEREAS, A native of Laredo, she has been supported in all
  her endeavors by her loving husband, Jose A. Zapata, and her son,
  Jose A. Zapata, Jr.; and
 
         WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Mrs. Zapata has been noted
  for her superior organizational skills and expertise, and she has
  handled her many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency
  and dedication; and
 
         WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, she is respected and
  admired by her colleagues, and her presence at the Office of
  the Attorney General of Texas will be greatly missed; now,
  therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend Beatriz Zapata on her exceptional
  service to the people of Texas as an employee of the Office of the
  Attorney General of Texas and extend to her best wishes for the
  retirement years ahead; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
