SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 252
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Lake Country Christian School of Fort Worth, Texas, and
  to extend a warm welcome to its students and faculty on the
  occasion of their visit to the Capitol; and
         WHEREAS, Since its establishment in 1980, Lake Country
  Christian School has benefited from the wise leadership of its
  administration and has undergone considerable growth; the school
  opened with 35 students and now has a student population of 450; and
         WHEREAS, Today, Lake Country Christian School is widely
  recognized as a first-rate institution with a sound academic
  curriculum and well-disciplined, dedicated students; and
         WHEREAS, The school is on a 30-acre campus and draws
  students from a wide geographical area and a variety of religious
  backgrounds; it is an accredited college preparatory school,
  with classes ranging from kindergarten through grade 12; and
         WHEREAS, The school's goal is to integrate academic
  excellence with Christian principles and to develop the whole
  person; Bible study is required each year, and in addition to its
  core curriculum, the school offers a premier fine arts department
  and a complete varsity athletic program; its band and choir win
  numerous awards annually; and
         WHEREAS, The school aims at preparing students for lives
  with a purpose and at providing resources, programs, and
  experiences that will inspire excellence in student performance;
  it provides a rigorous educational environment, and its students
  have gone on to attend some of the finest universities and
  colleges in the country; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend Lake Country Christian School for
  the high standards the school upholds and the excellent
  educational opportunities it provides; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the school as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
