SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 272
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Terry McGoon Hausman
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of San Antonio and Eagle Pass in mourning the loss of
  Terry McGoon Hausman, who died recently at the age of 55; and
         WHEREAS, Terry McGoon was born on August 30, 1955; she
  graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Sam Houston
  State University; she earned a degree from The University of
  Texas at San Antonio in 1976; and
         WHEREAS, Terry married A. J. Hausman on June 14, 1975, and
  their life together was a story of deep love and affection; the
  devoted couple had an enduring partnership that anchored the
  lives of their children and brought a sense of peace to those
  around them; and
         WHEREAS, An exemplary lady who was full of energy, Terry
  was the consummate homemaker and the center of gravity for her
  family; she was also a bright, independent woman who worked as a
  schoolteacher and later joined her father's business, Allied
  Advertising; she eventually served as the company's president;
  she was also the first woman in Eagle Pass, Texas, to obtain her
  pilot's license; and
         WHEREAS, Terry had an engaging personality and was a woman
  of high spirits; she touched the lives of many and was a source of
  strength and joy to her family and friends; during the course of
  her long illness, Terry showed great courage and was an
  inspiration to all who knew her; throughout her life, her endless
  devotion to her husband and children was evident, as was their
  devotion to her; and
         WHEREAS, Terry gave unselfishly of her time to others, and
  she will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of all who
  were privileged to share in her life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Terry McGoon Hausman; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy
  from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Terry McGoon Hausman.
