SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 284
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
recognize David Yett, who is retiring after more than a decade of |
|
outstanding service as city attorney for the City of Fort Worth; |
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, David Yett rose to the position of city attorney |
|
in February of 2000 after serving the people of Fort Worth for 20 |
|
years in the city's legal department, where he worked on a |
|
variety of legal issues related to economic development, |
|
including the creation of the Texas Motor Speedway and the |
|
renovation of the Blackstone Hotel; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A 1979 graduate of the Baylor University School of |
|
Law, Mr. Yett has throughout his career been known for his good |
|
judgment, his decisiveness, and his organizational skills; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He is an exemplary attorney and public servant who |
|
has earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues, and his |
|
presence at the Fort Worth city attorney's office will be greatly |
|
missed; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd |
|
Legislature, hereby commend David Yett on his exceptional |
|
service as Fort Worth's city attorney and extend to him best |
|
wishes for continued success in all his future endeavors; and, be |
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. |
