SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 382
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Texas Bar-B-Q Festival Cook-off as a Texas State
  Barbecue Championship competition; and
 
         WHEREAS, Sponsored by the nationally recognized Vidor
  Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, the 30th annual Texas
  Bar-B-Q Festival Cook-off will be held in beautiful Vidor, Texas,
  April 29, 2011, through May 1, 2011; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Texas Bar-B-Q Festival began in 1981, and the
  festival includes a carnival, art and craft vendors, food
  vendors, and musical performances, as well as the barbecue
  cook-off that is sanctioned by the International Barbeque
  Cookers Association; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Texas Bar-B-Q Festival Cook-off has attracted
  thousands to Vidor and Orange County every year for more than two
  decades; and
 
         WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and
  over the years, cooks at the Texas Bar-B-Q Festival and Cook-off
  have provided superior cuisine, satisfying the most
  discriminating of palates; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the 30th annual Texas Bar-B-Q
  Festival and Cook-off and extend best wishes to all associated
  with the event; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  this special occasion as an expression of the high regard of the
  Texas Senate.
