SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 399

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize the members of the Leadership Hurst-Euless-Bedford Class of 2011 on the occasion of their visit to Austin and the State Capitol; and

WHEREAS, This outstanding leadership program offers participants many opportunities over a nine-month period to gain greater insight into important public issues and to meet with leaders who make crucial policy decisions that affect their community; and

WHEREAS, In addition to learning about local public and private institutions over the course of the program, participants visit the Capitol to learn more about state government; and

WHEREAS, By developing their leadership skills and learning how they can contribute most effectively to their communities, the members of Leadership Hurst-Euless-Bedford are demonstrating their commitment to building an involved citizenry and a brighter future; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, hereby commend Leadership Hurst-Euless-Bedford and its Class of 2011 for their dedication to upholding their civic responsibilities and extend best wishes to them for a productive and memorable visit to Austin; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for these outstanding citizens as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
