SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 433
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize David Dew for his outstanding service with the Sons of
  the American Legion; and
         WHEREAS, The Sons of the American Legion was created in
  1932 as an organization of boys and men of all ages whose parents
  or grandparents served in the military; among its goals are
  preserving American traditions and values, caring for veterans
  and their families, improving quality of life for the nation's
  children, and teaching the fundamentals of good citizenship; and
         WHEREAS, David Dew is a charter member of Harding Blaine
  Squadron 321 in Plano; he has served his squadron, post,
  district, and division and the Detachment of Texas in various
  capacities; and
         WHEREAS, David Dew has served the Sons of the American
  Legion on the national level for several years; at the national
  convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on August 29, 2010, he was
  installed as national commander of the organization; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend National Commander David Dew on his
  service to the State of Texas and his commitment to the
  principles of the Sons of the American Legion and extend to him
  best wishes for success in all his future endeavors; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
