SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 494
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Raul R. Ayala
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Raul R. Ayala, who died February 9,
  2011, at the age of 89; and
 
         WHEREAS, Raul Ayala was an exemplary citizen who was widely
  admired in his community for his many achievements; and
 
         WHEREAS, Born December 31, 1922, in San Isidro, Coahuila,
  Mexico, Mr. Ayala enjoyed a long and productive career with the
  Zachry Construction Corporation; and
 
         WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he
  gave unselfishly to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued
  counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and
 
         WHEREAS, He was devoted to his large and loving extended
  family, and he will long be remembered for his generous spirit
  and his outstanding accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Raul R. Ayala: his loving wife of 68 years, Isabel
  Ayala; his children, Raul Ayala, Jr., Lucio Ayala, Ricardo
  Ayala, Robert Ayala, Ralph Ayala, Socorro Munoz, Esperanza
  Davila, and Asalia Davila; and his 20 grandchildren and 24
  great-grandchildren; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Raul R. Ayala.
