SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 502

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Cross Trail Outfitters for their outstanding work in assisting boys and young men to become leaders in their communities; and

WHEREAS, Cross Trail Outfitters is a nonprofit organization that was founded in San Antonio in 2004; it accomplishes its goal of "Building Men, Preserving Our Heritage, and Sharing Our Faith" through year-round hunting and fishing outings, club gatherings, skills training, community service projects, competitive teams, mentoring programs, leadership development, and summer camps and international mission trips; and

WHEREAS, Cross Trail Outfitters has a staff of 11 in Texas and groups in five additional states; a true nonprofit, it charges only actual costs for activities; thanks to the generosity of its donors, the Cross Trail Outfitters has never had to turn a boy away because he was unable to afford the activities; and

WHEREAS, Cross Trail Outfitters, through its many programs and services, helps young boys and men grow into mature, honorable, and faithful men; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, hereby commend all those associated with Cross Trail Outfitters for their valuable work on behalf of boys and young men and extend to them best wishes for continued success in all their future endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
