SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 520
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Tanesha Cayton for earning a Girl Scout Gold Award;
  this fine young woman is being presented the coveted award by the
  Amarillo Region of Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains Council
  on April 9, 2011; and
 
         WHEREAS, Few receive this distinguished award, the highest
  level of achievement in the Girl Scout program; and
 
         WHEREAS, Through the process of earning the Gold Award,
  girls develop a lifelong commitment to community service and gain
  skills that will contribute to their future success; and
 
         WHEREAS, Tanesha has displayed leadership by designing and
  conducting a service project that will have a positive and
  lasting effect on her community; and
 
         WHEREAS, Tanesha worked together with two other Girl
  Scouts on a nutrition and fitness education project; they showed
  people how to make small but significant changes in their
  everyday lives that would help them reap the benefits of a
  healthier life through exercise and wholesome food choices; and
 
         WHEREAS, In receiving the Gold Award, Tanesha has brought
  great honor to herself, her family, her council, her community,
  and her state, and she deserves recognition for her
  accomplishment; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend Tanesha Cayton on receiving this
  prestigious award and congratulate her on her outstanding
  achievement; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
