Stephanie Ann Brown |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
|
citizens of San Antonio and Texans across the state in mourning |
|
|
the loss of Officer Stephanie Ann Brown, who died March 15, 2011, |
|
|
at the age of 27; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A three-year veteran of the San Antonio Police |
|
|
Department, Officer Stephanie Brown lost her life while serving |
|
|
in the line of duty; her death is a tragic reminder of the |
|
|
sacrifices made daily by peace officers and their families; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, She joined the San Antonio Police Department on |
|
|
May 19, 2008, and graduated from the academy on December 19, |
|
|
2008; after completing her field training, she was assigned to |
|
|
the Central Substation; she was a dedicated police officer and |
|
|
was noted for her kindness, her courage, and her reliability, and |
|
|
she was admired and respected by her colleagues and by all who |
|
|
knew her; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Stephanie was a loving mother, a devoted |
|
|
daughter, and a loyal sister, and she leaves behind memories that |
|
|
will be cherished always by her family and her many friends; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd |
|
|
Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Stephanie Ann |
|
|
Brown and extend sincere condolences to her bereaved family; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
|
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
|
memory of San Antonio Police Officer Stephanie Ann Brown. |
