SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 544
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Stephanie Ann Brown
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of San Antonio and Texans across the state in mourning
  the loss of Officer Stephanie Ann Brown, who died March 15, 2011,
  at the age of 27; and
         WHEREAS, A three-year veteran of the San Antonio Police
  Department, Officer Stephanie Brown lost her life while serving
  in the line of duty; her death is a tragic reminder of the
  sacrifices made daily by peace officers and their families; and
         WHEREAS,
 
 
 
 
         WHEREAS, She joined the San Antonio Police Department on
  May 19, 2008, and graduated from the academy on December 19,
  2008; after completing her field training, she was assigned to
  the Central Substation; she was a dedicated police officer and
  was noted for her kindness, her courage, and her reliability, and
  she was admired and respected by her colleagues and by all who
  knew her; and
         WHEREAS, Stephanie was a loving mother, a devoted
  daughter, and a loyal sister, and she leaves behind memories that
  will be cherished always by her family and her many friends; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Stephanie Ann
  Brown and extend sincere condolences to her bereaved family; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of San Antonio Police Officer Stephanie Ann Brown.
