SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 600
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Kausi Subramanian, who has been selected for induction
  into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame for her outstanding
  work in the creative arts; and
 
         WHEREAS, The San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame honors those
  women who have contributed significantly to the San Antonio
  community and the Bexar County region through their
  accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and
 
         WHEREAS, Kausi Subramanian is an Indian dance and music
  expert; she serves on the Cultural Collaborative, The Carver
  Development Board, the Luminaria Steering Committee, and the
  City of San Antonio Public Art Board; and
 
         WHEREAS, She served as president of the Alamo Asian
  American Chamber of Commerce, 2007 through 2009, and she was the
  founder of the annual city festival, Diwali San Antonio; and
 
         WHEREAS, Kausi is highly respected for her dedication to
  her work and for her outstanding talent and accomplishments in
  the world of the creative arts, and her success serves as an
  inspiration to women across our state; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend Kausi Subramanian for her
  exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her on
  her induction into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame; and, be
  it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
