SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 608
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
recognize Colonel Richard J. Noriega, who is a participant in the |
|
United States Army's Senior Service College Fellows Program; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A component of the United States Army War College, |
|
the Senior Service College Fellows Program consists of a year of |
|
intensive academic study for selected officers that focuses on |
|
the relationships between national security policy and its |
|
implementation, technology and industry, and military policy and |
|
process; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Only the top three percent of United States Army |
|
officers rise to the level required for selection to the Army War |
|
College; those chosen as fellows for this prestigious course of |
|
study embody the qualities necessary for program managers and |
|
general officers in the United States Army; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Colonel Noriega is truly deserving of recognition |
|
for his dedication to duty and his many accomplishments; by being |
|
chosen for this important program, he has demonstrated his |
|
readiness to further prepare himself for senior military |
|
leadership positions around the world; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd |
|
Legislature, hereby commend Colonel Richard J. Noriega on his |
|
participation in the United States Army's Senior Service College |
|
Fellows Program and extend to him best wishes for continued |
|
success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
