Paula Yuvern Dunn |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
citizens of Houston in mourning the loss of Paula Yuvern Dunn, |
|
who died February 15, 2011; and |
|
WHEREAS, Paula Dunn was born on April 12, 1952; she |
|
graduated in 1970 from Evan E. Worthing High School, where she |
|
was selected Sweetheart of the Reserve Officer Training Corps; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Paula and Stanley Jackson were high school |
|
sweethearts; they were later married and had two wonderful sons, |
|
Josman and Jyron; and |
|
WHEREAS, She was trained in the medical technology field as |
|
an X-ray technician and spent most of her career working at the |
|
Jefferson Davis Hospital, now known as LBJ Hospital; and |
|
WHEREAS, A beloved and cherished member of her community, |
|
Paula was known for her adventurous and outgoing personality, and |
|
she was admired for the courage with which she faced adversity in |
|
her life; and |
|
WHEREAS, She enriched the lives of all who knew her with |
|
her love, her passion for life, and her thoughtfulness; she will |
|
be deeply missed by her family and her many friends; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd |
|
Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Paula Dunn and |
|
extend sincere condolences to her bereaved family; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of Paula Yuvern Dunn. |
