SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 749

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize the American Baptist Southeast District Association on the occasion of its Inaugural Session, which is taking place May 17 through 19, 2011; and

WHEREAS, The mission of the Southeast District Association is to promote and spread its faith to all communities; its goal is to enrich communities by bringing people together to work on projects of common interest; and

WHEREAS, The association encourages fellowship and cooperation among churches and provides trained leaders and teams to help the churches accomplish their work; and

WHEREAS, The ultimate purpose of the association is to inspire churches to engage in Christian education and evangelism throughout the world; the Inaugural Session is being hosted by the Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in League City; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to all associated with the American Baptist Southeast District Association for a productive Inaugural Session; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in honor of this special occasion.
