SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 756
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Glenda Salazar Saucedo
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of prominent artist
  Glenda Salazar Saucedo, who died April 9, 2011, at the age of 52;
  and
         WHEREAS, Glenda Salazar was born in San Antonio on
  September 21, 1958; she spent 26 years in the commercial graphic
  arts industry; and
         WHEREAS, She was a self-taught artist and had dedicated her
  work to her love of the fine arts since 2004; she worked with a
  variety of mediums, including watercolor and acrylics, and is
  known for her use of rich and vibrant colors that inspire one's
  emotions; and
         WHEREAS, Her works have been displayed in San Antonio at
  Pulquerios' in Southtown, River Art Group Gallery, Galleria II in
  the historic La Villita, and in private and corporate collections
  around the world; and
         WHEREAS, She was an active member of several San Antonio
  arts organizations, including Randolph Art League, River Art
  Group, Texas Watercolor Society, Trinity Art League, and the San
  Antonio Watercolor Group; and
         WHEREAS, A woman of grace and charm and extraordinary
  talent, Glenda Saucedo was a devoted wife, mother, and
  grandmother, and those she leaves behind will long remember her
  kindness and her generosity of spirit; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Glenda Salazar Saucedo: her loving husband of 28
  years, Tony Saucedo; her sons, Anthony and Jake Saucedo; her
  granddaughter, Kaylee; her parents, Joe and Janie Salazar; and
  her brothers and sister, Joe Ray Salazar and Jesse Salazar and
  Lisa Crawford; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Glenda Salazar Saucedo.
