SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 776
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Kimberly Ventura, who has been named Outstanding
  Marketing Student by the Texas Career and Technology Council in
  its Best of Texas Awards; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Best of Texas Awards recognize outstanding
  achievements by career and technical education students and
  others who have contributed to the council's programs; and
 
         WHEREAS, A senior at Irving High School, Kimberly has
  excelled in academic and extracurricular activities alike; she
  has been inducted into the National Honor Society, serves as
  senior class president, and is a member of the school's Tiger
  Fever spirit group; and
 
         WHEREAS, Kimberly has been an active participant in the
  Distributive Education Clubs of America, where she has taken full
  advantage of its leadership opportunities and developed a
  network of valuable contacts with industry professionals; and
 
         WHEREAS, A dedicated student who strives for excellence in
  all her endeavors, Kimberly is truly deserving of recognition for
  her hard work and commitment; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend Kimberly Ventura on her many
  exceptional accomplishments and extend to her congratulations
  on being named Outstanding Marketing Student by the Texas
  Career and Technology Council in the Best of Texas Awards; and,
  be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
