SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 830
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Rose Adele Junemann Nieman
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Austin in mourning the loss of Rose Adele Junemann
  Nieman, who died October 15, 2010, at the age of 80; and
         WHEREAS, Rosie Junemann was born in Galveston, Texas, on
  December 1, 1929, to Rose and Fred Junemann; and
         WHEREAS, She was a graduate of The University of Texas and
  was the devoted wife of John Nieman; she was a lifelong
  Christian, and she and her husband were active in Saint Matthew's
  Episcopal Church, where she taught vacation Bible school and was
  a member of the Tuesday Night Bible Study and the Prayer Shawl
  Ministry; and
         WHEREAS, Rosie was dedicated to her work as a homemaker and
  was known for her enthusiasm for helping others and for her love
  of the arts; she was a devotee of the Austin Symphony and was a
  longtime member of the Shakespeare Club; and
         WHEREAS, An exemplary lady, Rosie was known throughout the
  community for her many talents and interests; her culinary skills
  were legendary, and she was noted for her expertise as a gardener
  and for the joy she took in sharing her bountiful garden with
  others; and
         WHEREAS, Rosie was beloved by many, and the courage she
  showed in the face of her illness was inspirational; she always
  lived each day to the fullest and gave unselfishly to others, and
  she will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to share in
  her life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Rose Adele Junemann Nieman: her husband of 59 years,
  John Nieman; her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Paul Hilgers;
  her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Mia Nieman; her sister, Pat
  Holmgren; her brother, Raymond Junemann; and her four
  grandchildren; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Rosie Nieman.
