SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 844
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to pay
  tribute to Victor Clint Graham on the special occasion of his
  80th birthday; and
         WHEREAS, Victor Graham was born in Round Timber, Texas, on
  April 23, 1931, to Flory Mae and Joe Graham; he excelled in
  mathematics in high school, graduated as salutatorian of his class,
  and joined the United States Air Force at the age of 17; and
         WHEREAS, During his 20-year career in the military, he
  worked in communications and helped monitor security and
  procedural violations; he became a B-29 radio operator and flight
  crew member and did radio calibrations on warning radar sites
  along the west coast of the United States; he also worked as a
  troubleshooter for high-security electronic repairs and
  installations and later went into military intelligence; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to being an airman, he had a small
  television and radio repair shop and also did audio repairs;
  after retiring from the military as a master sergeant, he began
  working for Southwest Research Center as an electronic
  technician in biomedical engineering; he built a home in Atascosa
  County and retired from Southwest Research in 1989; and
         WHEREAS, Victor Graham has been married to his wife, Maryann,
  since June 6, 1958; he has four sons, in whom he has instilled the
  values of honesty and hard work, and his eight grandchildren and
  five great-grandchildren are a source of much joy; and
         WHEREAS, Victor Graham is a revered and respected member of
  his community; a true Renaissance man, he is a guitar player,
  songwriter, and poet, a woodworker, and an avid gardener with a
  specialty in growing hollyhocks, and he is always ready to lend a
  helping hand to others; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby recognize Victor Clint Graham as a treasured
  citizen of this state and extend to him best wishes for a
  wonderful 80th birthday celebration; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
