SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 864
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
recognize the distinguished doctors of chiropractic who are |
|
visiting our state from Japan; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Back pain is one of the leading causes of |
|
physician visits in the United States, and millions of Americans |
|
seek to alleviate their discomfort by relying on chiropractors, |
|
who have particular expertise in the care and prevention of |
|
musculoskeletal injuries; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Pasadena is home to the Texas Chiropractic |
|
College, the third-oldest chiropractic college in the nation; |
|
each year, this notable institution hosts a delegation of |
|
chiropractors from Japan, who attend seminars and participate in |
|
the study of such topics as anatomy, adjustment techniques, and |
|
x-ray diagnosis; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These distinguished visitors also experience the |
|
legendary hospitality of the Lone Star State, sampling local |
|
cuisine and sharing in the state's unique cultural and social |
|
customs; they are truly deserving of recognition for their |
|
adventurous spirit in addition to their dedication to |
|
chiropractic care; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd |
|
Legislature, hereby commend the visiting delegation from Japan |
|
on their commitment to their profession and extend to them a |
|
heartfelt welcome to this state; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
them as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. |
