SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 864
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the distinguished doctors of chiropractic who are
  visiting our state from Japan; and
 
         WHEREAS, Back pain is one of the leading causes of
  physician visits in the United States, and millions of Americans
  seek to alleviate their discomfort by relying on chiropractors,
  who have particular expertise in the care and prevention of
  musculoskeletal injuries; and
 
         WHEREAS, Pasadena is home to the Texas Chiropractic
  College, the third-oldest chiropractic college in the nation;
  each year, this notable institution hosts a delegation of
  chiropractors from Japan, who attend seminars and participate in
  the study of such topics as anatomy, adjustment techniques, and
  x-ray diagnosis; and
 
         WHEREAS, These distinguished visitors also experience the
  legendary hospitality of the Lone Star State, sampling local
  cuisine and sharing in the state's unique cultural and social
  customs; they are truly deserving of recognition for their
  adventurous spirit in addition to their dedication to
  chiropractic care; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend the visiting delegation from Japan
  on their commitment to their profession and extend to them a
  heartfelt welcome to this state; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  them as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
