SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 894

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Ray Neal McEachern of San Augustine, who is receiving the Pioneer Award from the San Augustine County Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Rodeo on May 11, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Ray Neal McEachern is a lifetime resident of San Augustine, and he is receiving the award for his service to his community and his ongoing support of the local livestock show, rodeo, quad drill teams, 4-H club, and FFA organization; and

WHEREAS, Mr. McEachern became involved with the youth groups when his children were young; he is the father of four children, grandfather to 10, and great-grandfather to three; and

WHEREAS, He is a valued and esteemed member of the San Augustine community, and he is most deserving of receiving the Pioneer Award; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, hereby commend Ray Neal McEachern for his exemplary community leadership and extend to him congratulations on receiving the Pioneer Award from the San Augustine County Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Rodeo; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
