SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 899
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Matthew Arthur Hess of Troop 328 in Lake Jackson |
|
|
has recently been honored by the Boy Scout program for attaining |
|
|
the rank of Eagle Scout, a rank achieved by only five out of every |
|
|
100 boys in the program; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, This fine young man displayed outstanding |
|
|
leadership through the planning and execution of a service |
|
|
project that has benefited his community; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Matthew advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, |
|
|
Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching the rank of |
|
|
Eagle Scout by following the principles of the Scout oath and |
|
|
promise; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, By becoming an Eagle Scout, this personable young |
|
|
man has brought great distinction to himself, his family, his |
|
|
troop, his community, and his state; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Matthew is an exceptional representative of the |
|
|
State of Texas and a sterling example to all who have the good |
|
|
fortune to know him; now, therefore, be it |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd |
|
|
Legislature, hereby commend Matthew Arthur Hess on earning the |
|
|
rank of Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his great |
|
|
achievement; and, be it further |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
Eagle Scout Hess as an expression of high regard from the Texas |
|
|
Senate. |
