SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 937
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Madison Jewel Gee of Lake Jackson, Texas, on the
  occasion of her high school graduation on May 7, 2011; and
         WHEREAS, Madison has fulfilled all the requirements for a
  high school diploma from Faith and Foundations Academy Home
  School; and
         WHEREAS, Madison has expanded upon the basic prerequisites
  for high school graduation, having simultaneously completed over
  70 hours of college credit through Brazosport College in Lake
  Jackson, Texas, and online through Liberty University in
  Lynchburg, Virginia; and
         WHEREAS, One week after graduating from high school,
  Madison will receive the degree of Associate of Arts in General
  Studies, graduating summa cum laude from Liberty University; and
         WHEREAS, Madison has maintained a 4.0 grade point average
  in all her courses and has been recognized for her outstanding
  scholarship by being inducted as a member of the high school
  honor society Eta Sigma Alpha and the college honor society Phi
  Theta Kappa; and
         WHEREAS, She is committed to her faith, her family, and her
  country and practices the tenets of her faith in her daily life;
  she has chosen to further her studies of America's heritage by
  pursuing a degree in history; and
         WHEREAS, Madison's accomplishments bear witness to her
  dedication and her exceptional abilities, and she is truly worthy
  of recognition for her outstanding achievements; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend Madison Jewel Gee on her scholastic
  success and extend to her best wishes for all her future
  endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  this exemplary young Texan as an expression of high regard from
  the Texas Senate.
