SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 945
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Teresa Recio on the occasion of her retirement from the
  Greater Houston Area Chapter of the American Red Cross after 41
  years of loyal service; and
         WHEREAS, A greatly admired representative of the American
  Red Cross, Teresa Recio began her career in August of 1970; she
  has participated in numerous programs of the American Red Cross
  during the course of her long career, and she is held in high
  regard for her efficiency and her professionalism; and
         WHEREAS, She has received accolades for her efforts in
  recruiting and training bilingual volunteers and for the many
  hours she has dedicated to providing services in health centers,
  elementary schools, and high schools; and
         WHEREAS, Teresa Recio has accepted the many challenges of
  her position with the American Red Cross, and she has generously
  shared her experience and expertise in fund-raising efforts with
  many; with her encouragement, many Houston-area students have
  become active participants in community service; and
         WHEREAS, She has demonstrated many times her exceptional
  dedication to her work and those in need; over the years, she
  earned the admiration and respect of her colleagues, and her
  presence with the Greater Houston Area Chapter of the American
  Red Cross will be deeply missed; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend Teresa Recio for her outstanding
  contributions to the Greater Houston Area Chapter of the American
  Red Cross and extend to her best wishes for the future; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
