SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 977
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Travis D. Bailey, Jr.
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Travis D. Bailey,
  Jr., who died April 26, 2011, at the age of 69; and
         WHEREAS, Travis D. Bailey, Jr., was born January 14, 1942;
  he attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated from
  Trinity University; and
         WHEREAS, He was a partner in the firm Bailey Gosling
  Insurance Agency and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity,
  the San Antonio German Club, the Order of the Alamo, and the San
  Antonio Country Club, where he won the Men's Club Golf
  Championship on six occasions; and
         WHEREAS, A wise, generous, and highly respected gentleman,
  Travis Bailey enriched the lives of all who knew him with his love
  and compassion, his warmth and kindness, and his enthusiasm for
  living each day to the fullest; and
         WHEREAS, He was a devoted son and brother, and he leaves
  behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and
  many friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby honor the memory of Travis D. Bailey, Jr.,
  and extend sincere condolences to his bereaved family:  his
  mother, Martha Wiggins Bailey; his sister, Marty Groos, and her
  husband, Ricky; and his nieces and great-nephew; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Travis D. Bailey, Jr.
