SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 995

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to join the Dallas County Community Supervision and Corrections Department in recognizing the department's employees during Probation, Parole, and Community Supervision Week; and

WHEREAS, The employees of the Dallas County Community Supervision and Corrections Department uphold the law with dignity, while recognizing the right of the public to be safeguarded from criminal activity; and

WHEREAS, The department's employees are responsible for supervising adult and juvenile offenders in the community and work in partnership with community agencies and groups; and

WHEREAS, They adhere to high professional standards and provide services and referrals for offenders and advocate community and restorative justice and safety in the community; and

WHEREAS, They also provide services, support, and protection for victims and are truly a force for positive change in the community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, hereby commend the Dallas County Community Supervision and Corrections Department employees on their outstanding work and extend best wishes to them during Probation, Parole, and Community Supervision Week; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for these dedicated and talented employees as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
