SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1012
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
recognize Leticia Pulido McKenzie, who is retiring May 31, 2011, |
|
after 26 years and nine months of outstanding service with the |
|
Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Guadalajara, Mexico, Mrs. McKenzie |
|
immigrated to the United States as a young child and went on to |
|
graduate from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1967; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, After originally studying to become a nurse, she |
|
started her career in state service on August 20, 1984, as a newly |
|
single parent taking care of her four children; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her career with the agency, she has |
|
been noted for her superior skills and expertise; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, she has handled the |
|
many responsibilities of her position as an administrative |
|
assistant with exceptional efficiency and dedication; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, she is respected and |
|
admired by her colleagues, and her presence at the Office of the |
|
Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd |
|
Legislature, hereby commend Leticia Pulido McKenzie on her |
|
exceptional service to the people of Texas as an employee of the |
|
Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to her |
|
best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. |
