SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1012
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Leticia Pulido McKenzie, who is retiring May 31, 2011,
  after 26 years and nine months of outstanding service with the
  Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts; and
 
         WHEREAS, A native of Guadalajara, Mexico, Mrs. McKenzie
  immigrated to the United States as a young child and went on to
  graduate from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1967; and
 
         WHEREAS, After originally studying to become a nurse, she
  started her career in state service on August 20, 1984, as a newly
  single parent taking care of her four children; and
 
         WHEREAS, Throughout her career with the agency, she has
  been noted for her superior skills and expertise; and
 
         WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, she has handled the
  many responsibilities of her position as an administrative
  assistant with exceptional efficiency and dedication; and
 
         WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, she is respected and
  admired by her colleagues, and her presence at the Office of the
  Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now,
  therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend Leticia Pulido McKenzie on her
  exceptional service to the people of Texas as an employee of the
  Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to her
  best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
