SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1020
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Cynthia G. Diaz de Leon, who has been named Union Hill
  Elementary School's 2010-2011 Teacher of the Year; and
 
         WHEREAS, A Texas Education Agency Exemplary campus, Union
  Hill Elementary School is in the Round Rock Independent School
  District; and
 
         WHEREAS, Cynthia teaches the school's second grade dual
  language class; she formerly taught third grade bilingual
  classes for two years, and she has 10 years of teaching
  experience; and
 
         WHEREAS, Cynthia was chosen Teacher of the Year by the
  school's faculty and staff, who noted her positive attitude, her
  patience, her compassion for her students, and her willingness to
  do whatever it takes to ensure that her students' needs are met;
  and
 
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Saint Edward's University with a
  bachelor's degree in language arts, Cynthia is a dedicated and
  gifted teacher whose enthusiasm and love of teaching is evident
  in the classroom; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend Cynthia G. Diaz de Leon on her
  excellent teaching skills and many contributions to Union Hill
  Elementary School and extend to her congratulations on earning
  the title of 2010-2011 Teacher of the Year; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
