SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1022
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize Bob Reynolds, who is retiring after 17 years of |
|
|
exceptional service with the Office of the Comptroller of Public |
|
|
Accounts; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Bob Reynolds joined the comptroller's office in |
|
|
1978; he served for several years in the Inheritance Tax Division |
|
|
before transferring to the Revenue Accounting Division; he then |
|
|
transferred to Tax Assistance and served on the Minerals Tax team |
|
|
for five years before moving in 1990 to Montana, where he ran a |
|
|
ranch and taught at the University of Montana; he later taught |
|
|
school in Houston for 11 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In 2006, he returned to the comptroller's office, |
|
|
where he has made many friends over the years and is known for his |
|
|
versatility and his expertise in a variety of fields; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout his career in the comptroller's |
|
|
office, Bob Reynolds has handled his responsibilities with |
|
|
exceptional skill and dedication; in addition to his work on |
|
|
behalf of the state, he has many hobbies and is a talented |
|
|
musician who has played in prominent bands and has performed |
|
|
custom work on band instruments; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, Bob Reynolds is known for |
|
|
his good humor and his engaging personality; he is beloved and |
|
|
respected by his colleagues, and his presence in the Office of |
|
|
the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd |
|
|
Legislature, hereby commend Bob Reynolds on his productive |
|
|
career with the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and |
|
|
on his many contributions to our state and extend to him best |
|
|
wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
